My name is Yasmine Brown, Hedge Funds & Glam mentorship program  founder, private equity consultant, registered stock broker and glam connoisseur.

Last year I embarked on a new journey that opened my eyes to a whole new world of feminism- pageantry. Like most activities and hobbies, pageantry is tailed with stereotypes and preconceived notions. Needless to say, I was told that if I partake in such an event, professionals would no longer take me seriously (I work in the private equity industry). "Pageant girls are superficial and dumb," this anonymous individual said. However, my mind was set and I wanted to try it. Fast forward 6 months later, I can concluded and protest that pageant girls aren't superficial and dumb. They're quit courageous and confident and exude a form of bad-assery that is unapologetic. I strongly believe that all women carry a trait of bad-assery (token word from Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes) and that is the purpose of this blog; to fuel and grow that inner fire of bad-assery, passion and confidence.

Welcome to Rebbelle Lifestyle! A one stop shop for the competitive ambitious girl next door.

I hope to use Rebbelle Lifestyle as a reminder to young women that their love for finance (or any disciplined profession) and fashion does not have to be mutually exclusive. Be sure to check out Hedge Funds & Glam mentorship program page to find out more details!

Love this! I agree, you CAN have non-mutually exclusive passions in life! Go after both, and teach others that they can, too! XOXO

This is wonderful! I enjoyed reading your bio. I have had the pleasure to know several “pageant girls” and they are the most kindest, sincere, considerate and very smart women. I applaud you for being so brave in showing the world that you are part of something greater than negative perceptions!
